Flutist Andrea LeBlanc explores over three hundred years' worth of music on historical instruments, from baroque to modern. Ms. LeBlanc pursued her study of the traverso at the Koninklijk Conservatorium, The Hague, with Kate Clark. She received her B.M. in Historical Performance with Honors and Distinction in Performance from the New England Conservatory, where she studied with Christopher Krueger and John Gibbons. Appearing as a soloist and chamber musician, Ms. LeBlanc performs in Boston with the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Les Bostonades, and the recently formed Cambridge Concentus and L'Academie. She will perform with Boston Baroque in March. She has performed internationally with the Chameleon Ensemble in Lincolnshire, England, and in June will tour Japan with Cambridge Concentus. A review in Goldberg Magazine of her 2004 recital described Ms. LeBlanc as "a careful and thoughtful musician" with "an excellent feel for the delicacies of the wooden flute." She enjoys teaching modern flute in her home in Beverly, MA, at the Waring School, and in the public schools in Lynnfield, MA.
